dandelions

Its not the prettiest bouquet. Most call them weeds, but when a child reaches out to present a fistful of dandelions something magical happens- they become more beautiful then any dozen roses. Its these small moments that make it a good day.

Goosed

Happy Mothers Day!

went to Grey Animal farm today and had a picnic. It was crowded so a lot of the animals had taken to hiding to get away. So we went on a lot of the walking trails they have, and along the way we happened upon this VERY FRIENDLY, one winged goose looking for handouts. My husband had a pocket full of deer food that the goose was after. The weather was perfect, nice and warm- a good excuse to stop for frozen custard on the way home.

Pranking tradition

Im going to first set this picture up...For as long as I can remember someone in my family has always given a prank gift around the holidays, I guess you could call it a tradition. For years it was giving the same fruit cake away year after year, then one year it was the nastiest smelling joke purfume, I got it as a joke then re-gifted it as a joke. This year at my sons 7Th birthday he was initiated into the family pranks. He had a book about a boy who got nothing but underwear for his birthday and had made it clear to all that that's not what little boys want. So as a joke every member of my family got him underwear- and I cant even describe the hilarity as he opened box after box of underwear- lets just say I won't need to buy him new skives for years to come. Well anyhow he wanted to get even so this past Christmas he and his grandmother conspired and he went with her and picked everyone out novelty underwear- no one saw it coming and it was just perfect. So I was just cleaning the pictures up off my computers memory and found this picture of one of my family members modeling his/her new underware, I wont say which family members rear it is..... (don't worry its G rated)

What happens...

This is what happens when father and son stay up late, and curl on the couch to watch their favorite show "Myth Busters"............. guess they will have to catch it in repeats.
