Prince Charming

I have been irritable and cranky the last week, I have been unable to shake a cold that's taken up residence in my body. There also have been a number of personal things taking place. That being said I have not been any easy person to live with. Its funny how in our worst moments we take it out on those closest, I guess maybe believing that they will overlook our temporary moments of insanity. In this case I would have to say my victim would be my dear husband, the innocent bystander of my crabbiness.
I have often thought by no means did I pick the most romantic man in the world. I don't receive flowers on a regular basis, he once brought home balloons but from the car to the house they escaped floating off into the air, he has forgotten my birthday, I get last minute drug store valentines day cards and the list goes on.... Like many women I keep score of all his short comings it comes in handy when I need to lay on a good guilt trip.
This week however the smallest gesture reminded me that I am married to a good man, that in his own unique/creative way is indeed a prince charming. He is not good with words, and knowing my rough week and feeling down in the dumps he came home with a big two liter bottle of Diet Dr Pepper. My favorite! He brought it home set it on the counter and just said thought you could use this he then went off to do his own thing.
So we wont be ridding off into the sunset instead we will be curled up on the couch watching Goonies with our son drinking Diet Dr Pepper .... that's a happy ending.

I love this video received it in an email. Evidently T-mobile payed so many dancers to start dancing in the middle of Liverpool station, and as you can see it just caught on. I have personally tried this in the grocery store- I just start dancing to whatever music is playing but all I get is strange looks and my son burring his head in shame--- oh well would be cool to get caught in the middle of something like this. (just follow the link to see video)

8 year old logic

upon seeing a flock of geese today flying in a V formation my son says.........
"I know why they fly in a V.... Its because V stands for vacation and they are just getting back from vacation down south".
You gotta love the innocence in child logic.

March Winds

Lot of wind lately, but I would rather be figuring out how to get my sons plane off the roof instead of shoveling snow. Again went and spent the morning at Popham Beach. Tried to fly this amazing kite my son got from his grandfather. What a crazy kite- it took forever put together, I think my son may have picked up a few bad words from the whole ordeal? Needless to say when the kite got in the air it was pretty cool.

Irish eyes?

Yes those are smiling Irish eyes hiding behind the goofy glasses! My little man has been sick so it was good to see him back to himself, especially his goofy self. Happy St. Patricks Day (enjoy your boiled dinner).

What a spectacular weekend! I cant remember the last time my spirits were this high, (no meds or alcohol needed). It hit 50 degrees this weekend, there is mud all over my kitchen floor and I could not be happier- a sure sign that winter is on its way out. We also set the clocks forward one hour which means more daylight. Last night we grilled (hey 50 degrees in Maine thats warm enough to grill) and had what my 8 year declared the "best meal ever". Then today we loaded up big red (big red is my husbands truck aka his baby) and headed off to popham beach to walk the dog. Do I have spring fever- YOU BET!!!
